Range Light ATON USCG

SCOPE OF WORK

Remove and replace damaged front range light “aid to navigation”. Required the removal of an old 3 pile structure from the bay bottom and reinstallation of a new 3 pile structure. Piles were 24”diameter steel. After driving C&W diving personnel welded on preformed bands and spool to install the 5’x5’ aluminum basket that supports the USCG ATON equipment. The structure required very accurate surveying parameters to ensure it was installed into the proper location.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Marine biology surveys and monitoring for Marine mammals, Pile pulling and Pile driving, Welding support and crane work from a barge.

TENTH AVE Marine Terminal Cathodic Protection upgrade

SCOPE OF WORK

 SCOPE OF WORK - C&W provides underwater welding team to remove old ICCP anodes and weld in brackets to support new Tubular MMO style anodes to protect the seawall at tenth avenue marine terminal Port of San Diego. This is a modernization from the ICCP anodes previously installed.

 

Worthy of note

C&W - developed a dry habitat, Installed and conducted all preparation and coating application to this seawall in 2000.

C&W provided vessel support and underwater welding crew to conduct operations.

AIMMS Range Inspection 

Offshore Imperial Beach CA

 

 

SCOPE OF WORK

C&W diving provided dive vessel and crew to travel offshore San Diego to inspect, clear debris and conduct repairs to the AIMMS range operated by the US Navy. The range is located offshore in the Imperial beach area and is used to conduct testing and calibration of equipment in use on board Navy vessels. C&W assisted in the installation of the range in years past and continues to provide maintenance and inspection activities on a regular basis.

 

REQUIREMENTS

C&W supplied and mobilized our 40’ twin screw dive support vessel approximately 15 miles outside San Diego bay to locate and conduct operations on this unmarked range.

 

LOCATION: South end of Shelter Island, San Diego Bay

PERFORMANCE PERIOD: 2 days annually-semiannually
