June and August 2005 Diving Services at Green Mountain Dam and Powerplant - Phases I & II Kremmling, CO
In June, 2005 C&W mobilized on-site and set up a marine work platform from which hoisting and dive operations were conducted. C&W utilized its ROV to verify positioning and preliminary inspection of a 21' diameter, 52,000 lb. bulkhead gate and related components.
Divers cleaned and inspected affected vent lines on the bulkhead gate and determined that no repairs were necessary. Air dives to depths of 140' at an altitude of 8000' were performed. The bulkhead gate sealing surfaces were also cleaned and inspected. The bulkhead gate was removed
from the stored position and lowered onto the vertical shaft. C&W returned in August 2005 to raise the bulkhead back into the storage position after all interior repairs were complete. C&W will return in 2006 for phase III of this project.
